Q magazine is a monthly magazine that is sold for £3.99 per issue, it's a cheaper alternative to buying weekly magazines such as NME which are less affordable. Additionally you can purchase a years subscription to Q magazine for £30 (which also comes with free earphones worth £25).  Q can also be bought as digital copies for tablets and smartphones at the same price, with the addition of the free earphones. There are generally between 130-140 pages in each issue of Q magazine, this is double the amount of pages you will find in weekly music magazines such as NME.

NME is a weekly music magaine that sells for £2.50 per issue, per month it is more costly than Q magazine, however you have a more constant stream of information and news to keep you up to date. Per month NME will cost you £10, athough a yearly sbcription will cost £13.99 which is a 68% saving from the original £44 subscription. NME tends to feature around 60-70 pages per issue as there is not as much of a need for additional information as the magazine is released weekly, whereas monthly magazines need more pages to present the months information. 

Mojo is a monthly music magazine that sells for £4.80 per issue which makes it more expensive than other monthly magazines such as Q. Subscription to Mojo costs £40 for 12 issues, with each issue containing an average of 130-140 pages.

Kerrang is a weekly rock music magazine that sells for £2.20 per issue, making it cheaper than NME. You can purchase a years subscription to Kerrang for £58, with each issue featuring around 60-70 pages of the latest rock music news.
